Haverfordwest County 5 – Briton Ferry Llansawel 1

A brilliant second half display ensured Haverfordwest County gained a thoroughly deserved convincing victory against Briton Ferry Llansawel at the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium.

Against the run of the play the visitors took the lead in the 40th minute  as Thomas Walters struck from outside the box, the Bluebirds levelled matters three minutes later as Greg Walters’ cushioned header fell kindly to striker Ben Ahmun who volleyed home as the score read 1-1 at half time.

After the break the Bluebirds looked the more menacing in attack and were rewarded in the 51st minute as Rhys Abbruzzese cut in from the right and his left footed shot come cross evaded everyone inside the box as the ball found the back of the net.

Two minutes later a quick counter led to the third goal as Owain Jones played a neat one to with Ahmun before Jones lashed home left footed which didn’t give goalkeeper Will Fuller any chance of stopping.

Tony Pennock’s men were rampant and they didn’t have to wait long before they added a fourth, Abbruzzese’s corner was flicked on by Lee Jenkins straight to Walters who guided his far post header into the back of the net.

Three minutes later Ahmun added the fifth for his second of the match as the striker coolly rounded Fuller before he nonchalantly tucked home left footed to complete a very good day at the office for Pennock’s high flying Bluebirds.
